Light Duty Service Operator

Tatman’s Towing is looking for individuals that are customer service focused and driven to provide outstanding service in offering the following services: battery jumps, battery changes, tire changes and lock outs.

Tatman’s Towing is expanding its services in the Champaign-Urbana area. We are seeking dedicated individuals with the ambition and drive that strive to be the leader of the pack.

Tatman’s Towing takes great pride in providing the very best in customer service on all levels. Professional and courteous interactions with all contacts are key in this position. A neat and well-groomed appearance is important.

Requirements include:

  • excellent driving record
  • good oral and written communication skills
  • lifting of heavy equipment
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service experience is preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and experience is preferred; however, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!

Dispatcher – Weekends / Part-Time

We are looking for the right customer-oriented individual to work as a part-time weekend dispatcher 7AM-7PM Saturdays & Sundays. Dispatchers satisfy customers by answering the phone promptly, clearly understanding customers' vehicle issues, efficiently routing tow trucks and towing equipment throughout east Central Illinois while adding value to the customer/employee experience.

Requirements include good communication skills, dependability, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a strong work ethic. Previous dispatch experience is preferred as well as a knowledge and understanding of vehicle types like makes, models, 4WD, AWD, truck sizes, and vehicle classifications.

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Tow Truck Operator & Equipment Mover

Do you have a passion for helping others? Come join our award winning team at Tatman’s Towing as a Tow Truck Operator and Equipment Mover.
Tow Truck Operators perform emergency road service, towing, accident recovery, and abandoned vehicle recovery using assigned truck and towing equipment correctly as trained. Equipment Movers utilize tractor-trailers, gooseneck trailers and flatbeds to relocate lifts, light towers, skid steers and various equipment to and from customers' sites.
Requirements include valid Illinois driver’s license, excellent driving record, good communication skills, ability to lift 75 pounds, high school diploma or equivalent, and a strong work ethic. Previous tow truck operator experience is preferred, but will train to meet excellent standards. A valid Illinois CDL is preferred.
